If like my kids your little ones LOVE cooking/eating and making a mess in the kitchen, I have put together a few addresses that offer cooking classes for kids or where you can buy the necessary “Tools” to have fun in the home! I have also popped down addresses of strawberry/fruit/veg farms so you can pick your own fresh produce before cooking!

It appears that cooking classes are on offer for our budding chefs, in and around Annecy, but they have yet to be developed along the lines of the city style “atelier des chefs”.

http://www.cuisine-originelle.com/les-ateliers/mini-cook-school/ Reknowned chef, Laurence Salomon offers a mini cook school with the emphasis on “bio”. There is one planned for Saturday the 13th of July in the morning where the children concoct their lunch boxes for the beach!! The school is based in the centre of Annecy, near the old part of town.

STRAWBERRY & FRUIT PICKING

This place however offers a whole host of different fruits and vegetables to pick, you can even grab a few flowers en route – check out their calendar. La ferme des 4 saisons at Esery (near Reignier). Not the nearest but sounds like it’s worth the trip!
